This image of a bee is the most successful from this challenge. I made the bee and flower the main focal point of the image. The background was blurred. I think that this makes the viewer more attracted to the subject. I also like how bright the color of the flower appears to be in contrast to the dark green background. One thing that was difficult was having to find/take images that fit into one category. After learning about different types of photography, I would like to start taking more theoretical and interpretive images. I was drawn to the idea of using props to make the image more abstract.

Wow! I really like this photo, and I believe you did a great job at clearly capturing both the bee and flower. I like that you can see the anatomy of the bee, super interesting! Im curious to see how this photo would look if the main emphasis was just on the bee, and even the flower was a part of the blurred/unfocused background. I think the extra emphasis would also be a cool perspective to explore! - Diya Shah

Hi Kari! I like the photo you chose for this. I think the fact that you were able to get such a close and clear shot of the bee without it moving or flying away adds to my interest and drew me in. I also like how you use the background control to bring focus to the bee and the flower. I'm curious what this photo might look like from a different angle—right now, the camera is coming from on top of the bee/flower—I think it could look interesting if taken from the side or bottom to get a new perspective. Still, this is a great photo!
The thing that really draws me to this photo is the focal point which is the bee. The flower and the bee being bright yellow really stand out from the background which really gives a nice contrast and it really attracts my attention. When I look at this photo it gives a warm spring/summery vibe. The overall quality of the photo is stunning as it really allows you to see close details of the bee, and the flower petals.
